The research and development of nanomedicines and delivery systems is a key area in the field of biomedicine, and the purity of solvents directly determines the safety and efficacy of nanomedicines. In the research and development of nanomedicines and delivery systems, the issue of solvent impurities has long been a persistent challenge: endotoxins and heavy metals present in conventional solvents can compromise the biosafety of nanomedicines, leading to uneven carrier particle sizes and reduced drug loading. Consequently, the development of many targeted drugs and sustained-release formulations has been hindered by solvent-related issues, creating a bottleneck that constrains the translation of research findings into practical applications.
To resolve this dilemma, the institute has introduced a solvent purification system from Beijing Yifeng Technology Co., Ltd. This system optimises the removal processes for endotoxins and heavy metals in medical-grade solvents such as dichloromethane and ethyl acetate. It is capable of thoroughly removing impurities from solvents, ensuring that solvent purity meets medical-grade standards and providing a safe, pure environment for the preparation of nanomedicines. The system features a fully enclosed design to prevent contamination, whilst its automated liquid supply significantly enhances preparation efficiency and ensures the stable performance of nanomedicines.
The implementation of Yifeng’s solvent purification system has injected new vitality into the institute’s nanomedicine R&D.
